About Kpatashi Events & Festival
Kpatashi Events & Festival is a non-profit association in Malmö that brings people together through food, music art and culture. With roots in African traditions and an openness to cultural exchange, we welcome residents and visitors to discover, share and celebrate the richness and diversity of African traditions together.
Through festivals and cultural events, we lift voices, stories and experiences that are often underrepresented – and create a platform where everyone can feel seen, heard and included.
The founder
Dorcas Dadzie is the founder of Kpatashi Events & Festival in Malmö. An educator and a community leader with roots in Ghana, she has been actively involved in community life in Malmö for many years.
Through Kpatashi, she creates welcoming spaces where people from different backgrounds can meet, learn from one another and build friendships through food, music, art and culture.
Dorcas also founded Give to Life Charity Organization, supporting children´s education, empowering women and helping families in Ghana. Her work is guided by solidarity, celebration of diversity and the belief that together, we can make a difference.
She is passionate about celebrating culture, bringing people together and helping people learn, grow and find new opportunities in life.
When people eat together, dance together and share stories, something powerful happens – barriers disappear and new friendships are formed. That is the heart of Kpatashi.
